CEO of ACEA
2018 will have been a new stage in the progression and growth of ACEA.
We have set out to implement the transformation, notably characterized by:
– A change in our organization:
LEAN management, recruitment of new skills…
– New technologies: process automation, factory of the future
– The desire to continue to progress in customer satisfaction
Transformation and growth have become a necessity due to changing market expectations of our customers and our teams. In this reality of a world in profound change, I place our social and societal responsibility at the heart of this ambition.
I have the deep feeling that we are continually progressing and doing so in close collaboration with all stakeholders.
Do it right the first time
In 2011, Thierry Mohr took over and created ACEA

The production site located in Gundershoffen has it origins from Alcatel company : know-how of more than 30 years.

A flexible industrial structure on a human scale, ACEA offers you its capacity for adaptation and its skills linked to new technologies. Its know-how optimized by qualified personnel in a proven “quality” system is organized around specialized production lines.
Thierry Mohr, general director, took over and created ACEA in 2011, Electronic Applications and Constructions of Alsace. The production site located in Gundershoffen has its origins within the Alcatel company, a know-how of more than 30 years. Acea achieves a turnover of 10 million euros with 68 employees on the Gundershoffen production site of around 3000m²

Why is ACEA a 4.0 company?
ACEA AND THE INDUSTRY OF THE FUTURE 4.0
The transformation of our production tool, our information and communication system as well as our industrial organization represent our ambitious projects as part of ACEA’s evolution towards the industry of the future 4.0
Deployment of digital in workshops
The digitalization of production stations is also on the agenda. The idea is to replace the current paper instruction sheets with digital tablets to guide operators through the tasks to be accomplished through videos. The objective of this investment is twofold: better efficiency and a more modern corporate image.
Automation
Automation is one of the priorities in the evolution and transformation of the company. It is already renowned in the installation of SMT components (surface mounted components) with two high-speed automatic installation lines as well as automatic optical inspection of electronic cards (AOI). The objective is to extend it as much as possible to manual tasks. A study is currently underway with students from INSA and ECPM in Strasbourg concerning the robotization of the resining part of the workshop.
LEAN PHOENIX 4.0 project
Finally, ACEA does not forget the industrial organization with its PHOENIX 4..0 project using “LEAN” as an instrument for continuous improvement, with two key words: the empowerment of operators and the generalization of visual management in the factory .
New ERP system
The information system is being overhauled to interconnect the company’s various departments, streamline the exchange of data and improve production management. The old ERP has recently been replaced by a new ERP. The objectives are multiple: to provide even greater flexibility, responsiveness, and of course to achieve productivity gains.
